Tiếng ViệtThis past August, Konia Co., Ltd., the exclusive authorized distributor of Tekla Structures in Vietnam, once again brought to the Tekla user community in Ho Chi Minh City one of the largest industry events of the year. More than 120 attendees, including engineers, experts, and leading professionals in the construction sector, gathered for a day of insightful discussions, knowledge exchange, and community connection.
After three years of steadily cultivating and developing the community, Tekla Forum Vietnam 2025 officially marked its return on August 20, 2025, under the theme “Detailing The Future – Tinh chỉnh tương lai.” Ho Chi Minh City – a vibrant symbol of modern high-rise construction reaching toward the sky – was honored as the first stop of “Tekla Week.”
The event took place in the elegant ballroom of Le Méridien Saigon, a landmark along the Saigon River, reflecting both the city’s cosmopolitan growth and its dynamic transformation.
The program opened with remarks from Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thao – Business Director at Konia, who reviewed Tekla’s journey in Vietnam and expressed appreciation to the growing user community. She then introduced Mr. Michael Evans – Product Director at Trimble, developer of Tekla Structures. In his keynote, Mr. Evans provided in-depth perspectives on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the global construction industry, emphasizing Tekla’s place in shaping this transformation.

Following the keynote, two speakers from Konia shared technical updates and practical insights:

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa – Technical Specialist at Konia presented on project management applications of Tekla, and highlighted key improvements in Tekla Structures from the 2020 version up to the latest release.

Mr. Tran Huu Dang – Head of Business Intelligence at Konia introduced Tekla’s API developments. Building on the success of EZPEB, an API first launched at Tekla Forum Vietnam 2022, he unveiled a number of new APIs currently under research and offered free of charge to the Tekla community.
In July, Konia organized a community-driven initiative inviting users to propose and vote for new API ideas. At the Forum, Mr. Tran expressed gratitude for the community’s contributions and presented gifts to the top three contributors whose ideas were rated as the most innovative.

The program continued with case studies from Mr. Leo Zhang – APAC Customer Manager at Trimble and Mr. Dang Thanh Phong – Head of Engineering at ATAD. Their sessions highlighted success stories of applying Tekla Structures in real-world projects. Particularly notable was Mr. Phong’s presentation on the Long Thanh International Airport, one of Vietnam’s most iconic mega-projects, which drew great attention from attendees.

Beyond the technical discussions, Tekla Forum Vietnam 2025 offered a vibrant balance of community activities designed to enhance engagement and connection. Participants enjoyed live caricature drawing, instant photobooth photos, mini-games, and a lucky draw with attractive prizes. The event also featured a buffet lunch, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and informal networking where guests could exchange ideas and strengthen professional ties.
