In August, Konia Co., Ltd. – the sole authorized distributor of Tekla Structures in Vietnam – brought to Hanoi one of the year’s most notable events, gathering more than 140 engineers and industry experts.
Amid the vibrant atmosphere leading up to Vietnam’s National Day on September 2, Hanoi – the nation’s heart – became a meaningful stop for Tekla Forum Vietnam 2025. The event took place on August 22, 2025, under the theme “Detailing the Future,” at the Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel.

The program began with an opening speech from Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thao – Sales Director at Konia – who reviewed the development journey of Tekla in Vietnam. Following that, Mr. Michael Evans – Product Director at Trimble – delivered a keynote presentation on the growing role of AI in the global construction industry, highlighting Tekla’s increasing importance in this broader landscape.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa – Technical Specialist at Konia – presented on the application of Tekla in project management, along with updates on key new features from Tekla Structures 2020 up to the present version. Immediately after, Mr. Tran Huu Dang – Business Intelligence Team Leader – introduced the topic of API (Application Programming Interface). Building on the success of EZPEB, first launched at Tekla Forum Vietnam 2022, he showcased additional APIs currently being researched and developed by Konia to be provided free of charge for the Tekla community.

Notably, from the API idea contest organized by Konia in July, Mr. Tran Huu Dang realized the highest-rated idea submitted by Mr. Pham The Anh. On behalf of Konia’s API development team, he expressed gratitude and presented a gift directly at the event, recognizing the valuable contribution from the community while reinforcing the spirit of connection Tekla Vietnam is committed to fostering.

After a short break, Mr. Leo Zhang – Regional Account Manager APAC at Trimble – shared success stories of implementing Tekla Structures in design projects across regional markets. On his first visit to Hanoi, he expressed admiration for the city’s unique architecture and acknowledged Vietnam’s increasingly prominent role within the regional landscape.

Closing the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Do – Director of Frametech – presented his company’s experiences in applying Tekla Structures to projects in Japan. The achievements and practical results served as clear evidence of Tekla’s effectiveness, while also opening new opportunities for deeper collaboration in the future.

Alongside professional sessions, the event also featured engaging activities such as caricature drawing, instant photo printing at the photobooth, mini-games, and lucky draws with valuable prizes. These activities created a lively, welcoming atmosphere, allowing participants to both gain knowledge and enjoy memorable experiences.
