Starting from January 1, 2026, Bricsys will officially implement the new upgrade policy for Octave BricsCAD, introducing important changes to the upgrade mechanism and version support. BricsCAD V26 Upgrade Policy
From January 1, 2026, only licenses within the three most recent versions will be eligible for upgrade to the latest Octave BricsCAD V26. Specifically, only licenses from V25, V24, and V23 will qualify for upgrading to the newest version, while licenses from V22 and earlier will no longer be covered under the new upgrade policy.
However, for licenses that are no longer eligible for upgrade, customers can still continue using the software perpetually in accordance with the existing license terms. This means the software will continue to function normally, but it will not receive updates to newer versions, nor will it benefit from new features, improvements, or technical support in future releases.
Therefore, customers are advised to consider an appropriate upgrade plan to ensure continued access to the latest features, optimized performance, and compatibility with current technology standards.
