Tiếng ViệtThe signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) took place in an intimate atmosphere and a positive spirit of cooperation between Ko Nia Co., Ltd and the Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UTH).
Accordingly, the Institute of Civil Engineering is authorized to sign and implement cooperation activities with Konia Company to train Tekla Structures software for students. Besides skills training, the Institute and Konia also agreed on useful activities, creating a solid foundation for students before and after graduation. The signing ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Leonard Yeung – Regional Head of Channel Management Trimble Solutions SEA Pte. Ltd. representing Trimble Tekla, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thao – Sales Director representing Ko Nia Co., Ltd and Leaders of the Department, Lecturers of the Institute.
Representative of the school, Dr. Pham Tien Cuong – Deputy Director of the Institute introduced about the school as well as the Institute with extensive experience in teaching together with a force of young staff and lecturers, which is a great strength in quickly updating technology and the latest trend in training.
Many plans such as providing Tekla Structures licenses for 100 computers in the Institute’s lab, training teachers and students on Tekla Structures software, organizing seminars, guiding graduation projects, leveling scholarships… has been agreed upon and will be put into operation soon after the MOU signing ceremony.
The signing ceremony successfully ended in the morning of July 19, 2023, opening up many cooperation opportunities between the two sides, as well as a premise for useful activities for students in the future.

Institute of Civil Engineering, abbreviated as “ICE”, was established on the basis of amalgamation of three units namely Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Institute of Environmental Research & Traffic. ICE has 8 subjects and is currently the largest training unit under the Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport. The Institute of Civil Engineering performs the main function of training undergraduate, postgraduate (master and doctoral), scientific research and technology transfer. The percentage of ICE ‘s lecturers with doctorate degrees accounts for about 30% of the total number of lecturers, most of which are trained from abroad.
