In AutoCAD, you can use Scale (SC) command to change the size of an object with various ways
You can use Scale command on Toolbar menu or type ‘SC’(Scale) Command
SELECT SCALE COMMAND ON TOOLBAR MENU
In AutoCAD, Access Home ► Modify ► Scale to select Scale command, then following these steps
Step 1: Select the objects to scale ► Space
Step 2: Specify the Base Point and drag the cursor to second point or specify the ratio in command line ► Space
TYPE ‘SC’ (SCALE) IN COMMAND LINE
1. SCALE THE OBJECT BY MANUALLY DRAGGING
Type ‘SC’ in command line ► Space for the scale command
Select the Base Point and drag to the second point to change the size of the selected object../
2. SCALE THE OBJECT BY SCALE FACTOR
You can that Specify Scale Factor change when you move the cursor to the different points
If you type Scale Factor of 1► The ratio between the previous object and the new one is 1► The dimension is same
For example: A scale factor of 2 will increase the size to twice of the original square of 10 cm the size of square increase to 20 cm
3. SCALE AND CREATE A COPY
In case that you need to keep the object in the original position and create the copy of the object with the different size, you can follow these steps to perform the Scale command
Step 1: Select the object ►Space
Step 2: Specify Base Point ► Enter C (Copy) ►Space
Step 3: Specify the second point and specify the scale factor for the copy
4. SCALE WITH REFERENCE POINTS
If you need to change the size of an object with the reference from another one, you can use Reference in Scale command as follow
Step 1: Select the object to scale ► Space
Step 2: Specify Base Point ► Enter R (Reference) ► Space
Step 3: Specify two reference points of the object ► Enter P (Points) ► Space
Step 4: Specify two reference points of the reference object ► The size of the object is determined by the length from the two reference points.
