End of Sale of Standard, Flex and Worldwide Licenses

Announcement: End of Sale of Standard, Flex and Worldwide Licenses
Date Announced: September 1, 2023

Trimble announces the end of sale of Standard, Flex and Worldwide licenses for Tekla products.

From September 1, 2023 customers who are new to Tekla subscriptions will be able to purchase named user licenses, where each license purchased will be allocated to a specified user.

For existing Tekla Structures subscription customers additional Standard, Flex and Worldwide licenses can be purchased until September 30, 2025.

For existing Tekla Structures subscription customers Standard, Flex and Worldwide licenses can be renewed until December 31, 2025.

From January 1, 2026 all new license sales and subscription renewals will be named user licenses.

– Tekla Structures – Carbon, Graphite, Diamond subscriptions

– Tekla Structural Designer subscriptions

– Tekla Tedds subscriptions

– Tekla Structural Design Suite subscriptions

Tekla Model Sharing, version support

End of access
The last date of Tekla Model Sharing service for Tekla Structures versions 2018 and 2018i is December 31, 2024. After this date, Trimble is not running the service nor developing, maintaining, or testing Tekla Model Sharing service for these versions.

Tekla Model Sharing service is available for Tekla Structures version 2019 and newer beyond the end of year 2024. We highly recommend using the latest available version of Tekla Structures.

Tekla Tedds support for 32-bit Windows

End-of-life announcement: Tekla Tedds will stop being supported on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows
Date Announced: September 28, 2022

Trimble announces the end of life of Tekla Tedds when used on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows.

End of access
Trimble is not developing, maintaining, or testing this product on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows after December 31, 2022.
Trimble will not guarantee the functionality of these products on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows after the End of access date.

Sub-releases and corrections are available at Trimble’s discretion only in respect of the latest main releases. See Tekla Software Lifecycle Policy for more information.

Product upgrade options
We highly recommend using a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows. Please refer to the hardware requirements for specific Tekla products for information on which versions of Microsoft Windows are supported.

Tekla products support for Windows 8.1

End-of-life announcement: All versions of Tekla products will stop being supported on Microsoft Windows 8.1
Date Announced: September 28, 2022

Trimble announces the end of life of all Tekla products when used on Microsoft Windows 8.1, from January 10th 2023.

Last date of product updates
Microsoft’s lifecycle policy for Windows 8.1 states that the extended support period for Windows 8.1 will end on January 10th 2023. Therefore Trimble will end supporting all version releases of Tekla products running on Windows 8.1 on the same date, January 10th 2023.

Windows upgrade options
Trimble highly recommends using the latest available version of Microsoft Windows. Please refer to the hardware requirements for specific Tekla products for information on which versions of Microsoft Windows are supported.

Tekla Tedds support for Microsoft Office 2013

End-of-life announcement: All versions of Tekla Tedds will stop being supported with Microsoft Office 2013
Date Announced: September 28, 2022

Trimble announces the end of life of all versions of Tekla Tedds when used with Microsoft Office 2013, from April 11th 2023.

Last date of product updates
Microsoft’s lifecycle policy for Office 2013 states that the extended support period for Office 2013 ends on April 11th 2023. Therefore Trimble will end support for all version releases of Tekla Tedds running on Office 2013 on the same date, April 11th 2023.

Product upgrade options
Trimble highly recommends using the latest available version of Microsoft Office. Please refer to the hardware requirements for specific Tekla products for information on which versions of Microsoft Office are supported.

Tekla Model Sharing, version support

End-of-life announcement: Tekla Model Sharing service for Tekla Structures versions 2017 and 2017i

Trimble announces the end of life of Tekla Model Sharing service for Tekla Structures versions 2017 and 2017i. This announcement applies to all Tekla Online services for these Tekla Structures versions mentioned above.

Trimble Solutions Corporation announces the end of life of Tekla Structures all versions prior 2017 (2016i, 2016, 21.1, 21.0 and older).

Last date for customer support
Customer support is available for four years from the main version release. After which, customer support is limited for older software versions that are no longer actively maintained.

End of Sale
The last date of purchasing is December 31, 2021. After this date, Trimble is not accepting any new contracts for this product.

End of access
Trimble is not developing, maintaining, or testing this product after December 31, 2022.
Trimble will not guarantee the availability or functionality of these products after the End of Access date.

Product upgrade options
Users are encouraged to move on to using Tekla Structures Diamond subscription, which will offer similar functionalities, in addition to new features. When upgrading to a more current product, certain features may not be available, or there may be changes to hardware requirements. Please consult your Tekla reseller to verify your critical functionality and required hardware.
