On August 28, 2024, Kơ Nia Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Trimble SketchUp APAC successfully organized the “SketchUp Ecosystem for the AEC Industry” workshop, with over 25 participants in attendance.
In addition to introducing the SketchUp software ecosystem within BIM, the speaker, Mr. Roger Ng, a Technical Expert and User Experience Manager from Trimble SketchUp APAC, shared valuable insights on applying SketchUp in real-world projects, such as the restoration and conservation of temples and the construction of Shibuya Station in Japan.
Despite the language barrier (the workshop was conducted in English), there were numerous inquiries about integrating SketchUp with scanner, geo-surveys devices, and issues related to point clouds for large-scale projects. These topics were explored and discussed in depth.
Aside from the content shared by the speaker, KONIA also prepared gifts for all attendees, including valuable lucky draw prizes.
Despite the time constraints, the workshop concluded successfully, leaving several questions unanswered. KONIA has taken note of these and is planning to arrange follow-up sessions with technical experts for further in-depth discussions.
The “SketchUp Ecosystem for the AEC Industry” workshop is one of many activities conducted by KONIA, the sole authorized distributor and representative of SketchUp software, as part of its efforts to expand the market, reach customers, and bring more benefits to SketchUp users in Vietnam.
